Top tips on making the most of your space
Because the AeroBed is so comfortable, you can be a Great Host without the need for a spare bedroom. So why not turn your spare bedroom into a study, dining room or even a play room for the kids?
Whatever you decide to do with your new found space, hopefully you will find the following hints and tips on how to make the best of your space.
Darker colours, dramatic lighting and big soft sofas will create a warm and cosy ambiance. Deep reds and browns will really warm up any room. But for most people the challenge is to create the illusion of space and the following suggestions will help you do just that…
Let there be light
One of the simplest but most effective solution is to create space with light. Try uncovering windows and ensure that there is clear space for the light to beam through. Natural light is best but you can still get stunning effects by adding additional light fixtures. Cove lighting, uplights, rope lights and bookshelf lights are just a few options that you can really use to transform your room.
Light and airy
Choose lighter hues for really small spaces to instantly create a feeling of spaciousness.
Key colours: Cool blues and greens
Calming
Really open up a small room with monochromatic tone-on-tone paint techniques, patterns and fabrics.
Key colours: Cream, white, icy blues, butter yellows and pale greens
Open Space
Create a clear view across the room by eliminating obstructions. If you can see through a space, it will create the illusion of being large and open. A top tip is to arrange furnishings to open up areas of floor and don't block views to windows and doors.
Key furnishings: Low benches, ottomans, and armless chairs.
Syncronised Furniture
Choose furniture that matches the colour of your walls or vice versa and unlock even more space. If your furniture clashes with your walls then why not change your wall colour or if you are feeling adventurous paint your furniture! Even the most cumbersome of furniture will seem to melt into the background when finished in a color that's close to the wall tone.
Top tip: Add tone-on-tone stencil details to doors for that extra bit of style.
